Climate Skeptics vs Common Sense
Leave a comment »
There is a noticeable battle going on over climate change and if in fact it exists, whether it is man made or just a natural phenomenon plus various arguments against specific components of climate change such as CO2 levels and so on.
But while this battle is going on, there is one cold hard fact that doesn’t escape me and I want to address this now.
So is climate change fact or fiction?
It is of no concern me because I for me the real question is;
Can our planet continue to provide us with all the resources we require to maintain our current standard of living and expected population growth?
The answer to this question is a resounding no.
If climate change can help us think about our environment and the impact of our activities than isn’t that a good thing? If it changes our current thinking and challenges us to live our lives doing the same but using less resources and creating more sustainable methods isn’t that a good thing for the future of our planet?
Our planets resources are finite and with more people joining our planet everyday and each one demanding more resources eventually something is going to give. Something has to change.
If we can make a conscious choice to do more with less maybe our children can live the same level of comfort we have become accustomed to.
